Making a Claim

To make a claim, simply call us on 0800 500 216.

Whichever policy you have, your Customer Manager will keep you fully informed and make sure things stay on track, so you can get back to normal as soon as possible.

Making things go smoothly

There are a few things you can do to help. The most important are:

  • Provide all the relevant information as soon as possible.

This lets us process, accept and action your claim without delay. Often you can speed things up by providing proof of ownership, and this can be as simple as the box the item came in or a photo of the item in your home.

  • Do not admit liability or try to settle a claim.

This limits how we can sort things out with anyone else involved – and it may prejudice your claim. If you’re pressed, say: “I need to talk with my insurance company. They’ll know what to do.”

  • Check with us before throwing something out or getting it repaired.

We may need to inspect your car, home or possessions before approving your claim. If you get in touch with us as soon as you can, we’ll see that everything happens quickly.
