What if I miss my second instalment?

If your payment doesn’t come out of your account when we try again in ten days, we’ll try to take a double payment on your next scheduled instalment date to get back up to date.

When the missed payment is made, payments go back to your regular payment date.

If this second instalment doesn’t come out, this means your payment is overdue and you’ll be sent a final account.  If this final account isn’t paid your insurance will be cancelled.

Why do you charge a service fee for instalment payments?

The reason for charging a service fee for monthly and fortnightly payments relates to increased handling and administration costs, in particular:

  • With the instalment option there are multiple payments to process rather than one
  • There is an increase in the administration cost to process multiple payments, and
  • The more payments there are, the more administration required.
