How can Portable Contents and Stock insurance help?
Portable Contents and Stock insurance covers your contents and stock which you normally carry around with you for your business, such as phones, laptops and tools.
If your employee damages their personal possessions while they are being worn, carried or used in the course of their duties or employment, we’ll cover up to $5,000 per employee per event.
We will cover the physical loss of your business money resulting from theft where there has been violence or threat of violence towards you.
If there is a physical loss of your business money from your business or residential premises, we’ll cover you up to $1,000.
If there is an event covered by your policy which damages your electronic equipment, we’ll cover the cost to reset, reprogram or restore software, up to $50,000 per event.
Cell phone, tablet or laptop impact excess
We will reduce your excess to $250 if your cell phone, tablet or laptop is damaged by accidental impact while it is protected by a reputable shock and drop-proof case.
Portable computer equipment while away from New Zealand
If your portable computer equipment is damaged while you are travelling overseas, we will pay up to $5,000 for any one item, to a total of $10,000.
We will pay for the reasonable cost of express freight or overtime labour within New Zealand, so your portable contents can be repaired or replaced as quickly as possible.
You can choose to include cover for damage to your portable contents and stock caused by Natural Disaster.
