Multi Policy and AA Member Discounts
AA Insurance identified that some eligible customers may not have received, or may have been delayed in receiving, either a Multi Policy Discount and/or an AA Member Discount.
Making it right
We have now contacted or attempted to contact all eligible and/or affected customers via letter, email or text, to ensure their AA Insurance policies are updated and that any overpaid premiums have been refunded to them.
We apologise to all AA Insurance customers who were affected by this error and thank them for their patience while we have been making things right.
To check whether an AA Member Discount and/or a Multi Policy Discount has been applied, customers can review their insurance policy documents or log in to My AA Insurance.

What if I’m not a customer anymore, but I did not receive a Multi Policy Discount and/or AA Member Discount? Am I eligible for a refund?
We have now contacted or attempted to contact all eligible customers who have previously held AA Insurance policies and may have been eligible for these discounts but did not receive them.
If you received a letter, email or text from us about a discount refund but have not received your refund, please contact us on 0800 080 841 so we can check your details and if applicable, arrange your refund.
How much are the Multi Policy and AA Member Discounts?
The Multi Policy Discount is currently a 10% discount off the annual base premium for a standard policy and does not apply to government levies or GST. It does not apply to additional premiums for any policy extensions or optional benefits. We may choose to apply the Multi Policy Discount after the application of any other applicable promotions.
AA Member Discounts are fixed sum amounts deducted from the total annual premium due for a policy (inclusive GST). Our current annual AA Member Discount rates vary depending on the type of policy and how long a customer has been a member. Our current annual AA Member Discount rates are shown in the tables here.
How do I find out if I’m currently receiving a Multi Policy Discount or AA Member Discount?
Your discount information is shown on the second page of your policy documentation (including at renewal). You’ll also find your discount information on the Policy Summary page in your My AA Insurance account.
If you are still unsure whether your Multi Policy Discount or AA Member Discount has been correctly applied, or whether a Multi Policy Discount and/or an AA Member Discount is available to you, or if you are a Small Business Insurance customer, please contact us. Remember to have your policy number and, if applicable, your valid AA Membership number ready.
When will I get a refund if I am affected by the Multi Policy Discount and/or AA Member Discount error?
We have now processed refunds, including compensation, for eligible customers.

How do I know if I’m eligible for any discounts?
If you purchase two or more eligible insurance policies with us, you may qualify for a Multi Policy Discount. Policies that are eligible for our Multi Policy Discount include Car, Home, Contents, Landlord, some of our Small Business Insurance policies and more. If you are an AA Member, we offer dollar discounts off annual insurance premiums for most policies. The discount you receive will depend on the type of policy you have and how long you have been an AA Member. A full list of eligible policies can be found here.
