You can choose to receive your policy related communications (including policy schedules) by email rather than by post. By doing this, you'll also receive text notifications that we've sent you an email.
If your car, home, contents and landlord policies started before 28/04/2025, you can update your contact preferences by signing in to your My AA Insurance account and completing the following:
- Select the policy you want to update from your policy list.
- Then select Update your policy from the top left menu.
- From here, go to the Contact preference and select Email.
- Enter the valid New Zealand mobile number and email address where you want to receive your policy related communications.
If your policy has a start date of 28/04/2025 or later, select the ellipsis next to the policy you wish to update. Select 'Update my policy' and select 'Contact details' to update your email, postal address and phone numbers as well as your preferences in how you receive your policy related communications (including your policy schedules).
If you have more than one policy, you'll need to update each policy individually. For all other policies, or if you don't have a My AA Insurance account, you can contact us to change your contact preferences.
