2025 Home and Contents "AAHOME” Campaign - Terms and Conditions

Participation in this promotion by purchasing and paying for a new AA Insurance Home, Landlord, and Contents policy (“Qualifying Policy”) using the promo code: AAHOME is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions (“Terms”).  Promoter The promoter of the AAHOME Prezzy® card (“Prezzy® card”) promotion (“Promotion”) is AA Insurance Limited (“AA Insurance” or “us”), with its registered office at Level 5, 20 Viaduct Harbour Avenue, Auckland. Promotion    

1. The Promotion is the offer of the following for the completion of a Pre-purchase inspection with AA Home and the subsequent purchase of a new Qualifying Policy purchased and paid for between 14 August 2025 and 30 September 2025 inclusive (“Promotional Period”) using the promo code AAHOME:

a) One $250 Prezzy® card for each new AA Insurance Home and Contents policy; and/or  

b) One $250 Prezzy® card for each new AA Insurance Landlord and Contents policy.  

The combined value of the above will be loaded on to a single Prezzy® card where possible if multiple Qualifying Policies are purchased.  

2. Terms and conditions apply to the use of Prezzy® cards and can be found at www.prezzycard.co.nz/terms-and-conditions 

3. Any additional costs associated with the Prezzy® card(s), including but not limited to travel, are not included in the Promotion and are the customer’s responsibility. 

4. Prezzy® cards cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash for any reason whatsoever. 

5. The promo code AAHOME cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer except the AA Member Discount, if applicable. 

6. Purchasers of Qualifying Policies are responsible for providing accurate address information to AA Insurance. If delivery of a Prezzy® card to an eligible customer fails and the Prezzy® card is returned to AA Insurance, AA Insurance will retain the Prezzy® card for a period of six calendar months from the date the Prezzy® card is returned. AA Insurance will arrange one (1) redelivery attempt. If after one (1) re-delivery attempt the customer is still unable to take delivery of the Prezzy® card, following the end of the six-month retention period, the customer will no longer be eligible for the Prezzy® card under this Promotion. Delivery will only be made to a New Zealand residential address.  For the avoidance of doubt, the delivery terms of this clause 7 take priority over clause 9 of the Prezzy® card terms and conditions: www.prezzycard.co.nz/terms-and-conditions.

Eligibility  

7. To be eligible for a Prezzy® card, you must: 

a) complete a Pre-purchase inspection with AA Home; and 

b) take out a new Qualifying Policy during the Promotional Period; and 

c) use the promo code AAHOME; and 

d) pay the annual premium for the new Qualifying Policy in full or put in place a direct debit agreement and make either (1) monthly or two (2) fortnightly payments.  

8. AA Insurance will take reasonable steps to send the Prezzy® card to customers within 30 days of the Qualifying Policy’s: 

a) premium being paid for in full, or a direct debit being activated and one (1) monthly or two (2) fortnightly payments being made; and 

b) annual term commencing.  

9. Prezzy® cards will not be sent before the Qualify Policy’s annual term has commenced, even if the premium for the Qualifying Policy has been paid in advance. 

10. You will not be eligible to participate in this Promotion if you:  

a) are seeking a quote for, or renewing, a policy that has either expired or been cancelled by us for non-payment (or any other reason that may result in cancellation of your policy) within the three months before the Promotional Period or at any time during the Promotional Period; 

b) have an existing AA Insurance policy that is cancelled either by you or by us within the three months before the Promotional Period or at any time during the Promotional Period and a new policy insuring the same home, landlord, or contents is purchased within the Promotional Period; or 

c) take a Qualifying Policy out, and then cancel it either during or within the two-month period following the Promotional Period. In this instance, you will either (1) not receive a Prezzy® card(s); or (2) if you have already received a Prezzy® card(s), be required to return it/them to us or reimburse us for its/their value.   

11. This Promotion is available for Qualifying Policies purchased via aainsurance.co.nz, by calling 0800 AA Insure, or by visiting an AA Centre.  

12. The Promotion is open to New Zealand residents over 18 years of age only. Employees, contractors and their immediate families (including partners, siblings, grandparents, parents, children and grandchildren), of the following companies, are not eligible for the Promotion: AA Insurance Limited, The New Zealand Automobile Association Limited (”NZAA”) and subsidiaries of NZAA; NZAA District Councillors; any company with which the NZAA has a current joint venture arrangement; shareholders and suppliers of AA Insurance; including agencies, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and affiliated providers. 

General  

13. AA Insurance may refuse to provide a Prezzy® card to a participant who, in AA Insurance’s view, has acted fraudulently or not complied with these Terms. 

14. Total value will be loaded onto a single Prezzy® card and values cannot be divided into multiple cards.

15. Application for cover is subject to underwriting acceptance.  Only Qualifying Policies underwritten by AA Insurance under the AA Insurance brand are eligible for participation in the Promotion.

16. AA Insurance has no control over the internet or mobile telephone communications, networks or lines, bugs, viruses and server problems and accepts no responsibility for any problems associated with them, for any reason.  

17. If any event or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of AA Insurance which prevents AA Insurance from complying with these Terms, AA Insurance will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations.  

18. AA Insurance reserves the right to modify these Terms at its reasonable discretion and to extend, modify, postpone or cancel the Promotion at any time for any reason beyond our reasonable control.  Any extension, modification, postponement or cancellation of the Promotion will be notified on aainsurance.co.nz/offer-terms. AA Insurance’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 

19. AA Insurance, its related companies, and agencies associated with this Promotion, will not be liable for any loss, claim, cost, expense, liability or injury (“Loss”) suffered by any person in any way associated with the Promotion including as a result of participation in the Promotion or use of a Prezzy® card, except where such Loss cannot be excluded by law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, limit or modify any statutory rights any person may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. 

20. Policy cover with AA Insurance is subject to  standard underwriting conditions. Policy conditions apply on any insurance claim and an excess usually applies. Click here for full policy terms and conditions. 

21. These Terms shall be governed by the laws of New Zealand and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand Courts.  

Privacy 

22. By taking part in this Promotion and taking out a new policy with AA Insurance, AA Insurance will collect your personal information and the personal information of any joint policyholder. Your personal information will be held by us in accordance with our privacy policy which can be accessed online here. By taking part in this Promotion you consent to AA Insurance using your personal information for future marketing purposes, unless you otherwise advise us.
