Make a claim

If it’s time to make a claim, simply call us on 0800 500 216 to get the process started. Our team is available 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday. We recommend having your policy number on hand, plus as much information as possible about the incident you’re claiming for.

Make a payment

Save time by having your policy details on you when you call to pay your premiums. If you can’t find them, that’s OK — we’ll just need to ask a few security questions to verify your identity and protect your information. Setting up a direct debit can make keeping up with your payments even faster and easier.

Update your details

It’s important to notify us if your details change. If you have a new name, address, bank account or other info to share, including changes to your business or its turnover, please call us as soon as you can.

Cancel your policy

Cancelling your policy is easy, just call us on 0800 500 231 with your policy details and the date you’d like your cover to end on. Our team is available 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday. We’ll calculate any refunds you’re owed, or any outstanding premiums you need to pay.

Policy management FAQs

What information will I need to start my claim?

It's a good idea to gather as much information as you can before contacting our claims centre, so we can get started as soon as possible. Having your policy number is always helpful, although if you can't find it that's OK. Make a list of any lost, damaged or destroyed property you'll be claiming for, and, if you've been the victim of a crime, make sure you get a copy of the police report.

What happens if I miss a premium payment?

If you miss a payment, you may not be covered from the date your payment was due. Your policy will be cancelled if you don't pay within 30 days of that due date. If you're concerned about missing a payment, contact us as soon as possible and we'll help you find a solution.

How can I reduce my premiums?

There are a few different ways to reduce your AA Small Business Insurance premiums. One easy way is to choose a higher excess in return for a lower premium. Remember you will only need to pay your excess if you need to make a claim.

What if I change my mind after buying a policy?

We offer a 21-day cooling-off period when you first buy your policy, during which you can cancel and receive your premium back in full, provided you haven't made a claim.

After the cooling-off period, you can still cancel at any time with immediate effect and receive a pro-rata refund of your premium. However, if you have already made a claim, this may affect the amount you get back.

Can I change my policy coverage?

AA Small Business Insurance is designed to be flexible. That's why you're able to increase or decrease the amount that you're insured for, add new policy modules or cancel old ones. Contact us on 0800 500 231 as soon as possible if you need to make a change to your policy.
