If you take out two or more insurance policies with us, you’ll automatically qualify for a Multi Policy Discount. Depending on when you take out your policies, your discount can be applied at the time you pay, or as a refund once your policies have been issued. If you’re a Small Business Insurance customer please call 0800 500 231 and speak to one of our consultants to make sure your Multi Policy Discount is applied.
This will automatically be applied to your policies when they next renew.

Yes, your Home Insurance premium includes an amount for natural disaster insurance, which is provided by the Earthquake Commission and is called EQCover. Once your claim is accepted by the EQC, we will top up the amount paid by the EQC, up to your Sum Insured to ensure you can get your life back to normal as quickly as possible.

Multi policy discount
Get a Multi Policy Discount when you take out any two, or more, policies together. Depending on when you take out your policies, your discount will be applied at the time you pay, or as a refund once your policies have been issued.
Sum Insured is the maximum amount we’ll pay for the rebuild of your home unless we choose to settle your claim under Replacement Cover. It includes any features like swimming pools, fences, sheds and paving. You can discuss the value with us at any time. By paying your premium, you have accepted the Sum Insured.
The amount necessary to replace the item in New Zealand with an item that is of equivalent age and capability, with due allowance for wear, tear, depreciation and prior maintenance.
