AA Insurance wins Consumer NZ People’s Choice Award for Car Insurance
AA Insurance has been recognised with a Consumer NZ People’s Choice Award for Car Insurance, reflecting the strong satisfaction and confidence New Zealanders have in the insurer.
The Consumer NZ People’s Choice Awards recognise businesses that consistently deliver outstanding customer experiences. This year’s awards were based on feedback from almost 4,800 Consumer NZ members and members of the public, who shared their experiences with a range of insurance providers.
To qualify for the award, insurers were required to achieve high customer satisfaction scores, including at least 65% of surveyed customers rating themselves as 'very satisfied' and at least 80% reporting they were 'satisfied' overall. AA Insurance exceeded both benchmarks, recording a 'very satisfied' score of 66% and an overall satisfaction score of 88%.
The results also highlighted AA Insurance's claims experience, with customers who had made a claim within the previous three years reporting even higher levels of satisfaction. Among these customers, 74% rated themselves as 'very satisfied'.
Shaun Rees, Chief Product and Marketing Officer at AA Insurance, says the award is a strong endorsement from customers.

The award marks a return to the winners' circle for AA Insurance, which last received a Consumer NZ People’s Choice Award for Car Insurance in 2021.
