Agreed Value

Together we work out what your vehicle is worth, including any accessories you have or modifications you've made. So you know exactly what we'll pay if it's written off or stolen — no haggling, no hassles.

Damage to your own vehicle

If there is an accident or your car is damaged, we will either pay for the repairs or pay you the value we agreed on when you took out your policy, or when you last renewed it (whichever the lesser).

Legal liability cover

If you are responsible for damage to someone else's vehicle or property we'll protect you against any claim they make, up to $20 million.

Young driver flexibility

There will be times when younger drivers (age 24 or younger) may need to drive your car, and you haven't named them on your policy. With AA Insurance, they're still covered, subject to a separate excess payment.

No Fault, No Excess

If you're in an accident that wasn't your fault and you can identify whose fault it was, you may not have to pay any excess. Please see the Comprehensive car insurance policy document for more details.

If you buy Excess-Free Glass Cover and your claim is only for accidental damage to your windscreen or windows, you won't have to pay your excess.

What if someone steals my stuff?

When you have both Comprehensive Car Insurance and Contents Insurance with us, if someone breaks into your car and steals your belongings you'll only have to pay one excess on your claim, instead of two.
