You can view your car, home, contents and landlord policies in My AA Insurance.
We're in the middle of updating our self-service system so if you have multiple policies with us, you may find some differences in what you're able to do online. If you need any help making a change to your policy or if you'd prefer to arrange this with a member of our team, please contact us.
General
If your policy started before 28/04/2025, you can make the following changes:
- Update your contact details
- Update how you receive your policy related communications
- Update your marketing preferences
- Update your payment details (if you pay by direct debit)
- Request a policy schedule or Certificate of Currency
- Cancel your policy
- Renew your policies
- When you renew your policies you can also update your excess, payment frequency and any optional benefits, depending on your cover type.
If you started a new policy with a start date of 28/04/2025 or later, you can make the following changes:
- Update some of your contact details and how you receive your policy related communications
- Request a policy schedule or Certificate of Currency
- Update your payment details (if you pay by direct debit)
- Renew your policies
- When you renew your policies you can also update your excess and any optional benefits, depending on your cover type.
Car
If your policy started before 28/04/2025, you can make the following changes:
- Replace your car
- Update your listed drivers
- Update your registration number
- Update where your car is parked overnight
- Update how your car is used (e.g. private use)
- Update the agreed value (for Comprehensive and Third Party, Fire & Theft policies)
If you started a new policy with a start date of 28/04/2025 or later, you can make the following changes:
- Update your listed drivers
- Update your registration number
- Update where your car is parked overnight
- Update the agreed value (for Comprehensive and Third Party, Fire & Theft policies)
- Add or remove optional excess-free glass cover on Comprehensive policies (renewal only)
- Add or remove optional rental cover on Comprehensive policies (renewal only)

If you started a new policy with a start date of 28/04/2025 or later, you will be able to check your policy details mid-term, and complete the following changes at renewal:
- Pay for your renewal
- Update your excess
- Add or remove optional excess-free glass cover
Contents / Limited Contents
If your policy started before 28/04/2025, you can make the following changes:
- Update your sum insured
- Update your adjustable event limits
If you started a new policy with a start date of 28/04/2025 or later, you will be able to check your policy details mid-term, and complete the following changes at renewal:
- Pay for your renewal
- Update your excess
- Add or remove optional excess-free hearing-aid cover on Contents Insurance Policy
- Add or remove optional $100 excess on eyewear on Contents Insurance Policy
- Add or remove optional mobile phone cover on Limited Contents Insurance Policy
- Add or remove optional laptop and tablet cover on Limited Contents Insurance Policy
Landlord
If your policy started before 28/04/2025, you can make the following changes:
- Update the sum insured on your rental home
- Update the sum insured on your contents (if you have added this to your policy)
If you started a new policy with a start date of 28/04/2025 or later, you will be able to check your policy details mid-term, and complete the following changes at renewal:
- Pay for your renewal
- Update your excess
- Add or remove optional excess-free glass cover
- Add or remove optional extended landlord cover
